The love of my life

I miss you like the moon misses the sun at night

or like blind eyes miss their sight.

Like the Big Bang and the planets dispersal,

missing you starts small, but becomes universal.

Me without you is like numbers without math,

present without past, cars without fast,

the rainbow without light or Hercules without might.

The feeling of missing you is hard to describe,

It’s as if I’m missing something inside.

But the only things that did not miss,

are the star upon which I made the wish

“you and I would last forever”

and cherishing when we’re together.
