On The Road

Behind you and on the road —
Is there a motive?
There is not.
The time has passed
the trip has started
behind your shoulders
is the clock.

Going like forgetting something
when almost there
the time is up.
In the morning
without black coffee
before you,
the road is long.

Yet you go and keep advancing
not even knowing
where to go.
Like when the dawn
chases the darkness
you race the road
upon the world.
