She Becomes the Sunset

By Alex Zinner

Calm and beautiful, serene and quiet
She loves it here every night
Gathering words, makes up her song
This is where she lives, nothing here is wrong
Waves fill the background from side to side
Sea shells land on the shore from riding the tide
Colors that roar bright fill the sky
The swirls and patterns extend so high
Where the sound meets the water, the wind blows softly
Where the sun shines bight, birds take flight
Sand and sun on toes, feeling quite nice
Peaceful purpose fills the clouds that have lost their white
(In loving memory of my Mother)
