~ Kaitlan Corsell
To lay upon the guilty grass,
To fall asleep as days go passed.
Thinking is it right or is it wrong,
Yet, feels as though it’s been too long.
It bites me in the wounded heart,
As if a spirit’s tearing us apart.
I cannot sleep,
I cannot eat.
But, don’t defend me,
I can’t be beat.
To miss you as my soul is tearing,
Yet, the loss of you is so unbarring.
To cry among the moonlit night,
As the stars are shooting at the speed of light.
Two worlds collided, then subsided,
to see you again once I depart,
Cause’ somehow you were always in my heart,
So to lie upon the guilty grass,
A good reflection among our past.
