Triad 2016

Hillsborough Community College is a place that attracts a talented, diverse, and entertaining group of students and professors alike. Our large school boasts huge accomplishments and achievements throughout its history that draws in students from around the country and the globe. I hope that as you look through the 2017 edition of the Triad, you will really enjoy the magnificent works that these students have spent hours
creating, not only for themselves but for you as a peer and observer.
Artwork comes to life in many forms and can be appreciated by anyone with an open mind. One can interpret a drawing, painting, news article, photograph, short story, or poetry in a variety of ways. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that is why being creative an thinking outside the box is so important.
Dr. Gaspar has done an outstanding job this year in ensuring students got excited about submitting their works for a chance to be published in the Triad. HCC is not a stop in a students college career, but instead, it is a stepping stone that can catapult them into amazing professions and career fields.
I began my college years at a later stage in my life after serving in the military, and I am thankful for the opportunity to have studied here. I have been accepted to Columbia University in New York City, and I plan to attend the school in the fall of 2017.
