Almost There

I couldn’t see anything around but black.

My legs gave way, and suddenly I fell.

I felt my pulse halt quickly–
Heart Attack!

I saw a light pierce through the darkness shell.

The light shown bright, but where I was, I couldn’t tell.

The darkness came, again.

I fell asleep.

Awakened only by the pings of several beeps.
