Almost There

I can’t see anything around but black.

My legs gave way and suddenly I fell.

I felt my pulse halt quickly, heart attack!

I saw a light pierce through the dark shell.

The light shone brightly, but where I am, I can’t tell.

The darkness came again. I fell asleep.

Awakened by the pings of several beeps.
